We want to register our mailprogram to open on a mailto: click in a browser. We can set Firefox to do so, but not e.g. When you go to System settings in Windows 10 and look at the 'Default apps', the Email option provides Mail, Microsoft Outlook, and 'Look for an app in the Store' and not an option to Browse for another program.

On a Windows Server 2008 R2, I was trying to update Office from 2010 to 2016. I bought the Office 2010 Professional single install version (not 365) but left 2010 just in case we had to revert to it. I completely forgot Office 2016 doesn't allow a standard license on a server with Terminal Services on, so I proceeded to uninstall 2016. Upon reboot, users on the server and I are unable to set outlook 2010 as default anymore, so I followed the 'Let me Fix It Myself' instructions in this article: However, when deleting all the Microsoft Outlook subkeys (the article wasn't clear on which ones as it simply said 'delete the subkey', and the key in question had multiple) and repairing the Office 2010 installation from Control Panel, I'm unable to set Outlook 2010 as default, all Outlook icons are gone from 'Set Default Programs' in the control panel. I may have deleted too many subkeys from the registry key (path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Clients Mail Microsoft Outlook), and i didn't back up the registry of course, smugly thinking it was a simple issue.

Is there a way to fix this? Maybe one of you has the same set up and can tell me the exact subkey structure (I'll of course update any file paths that may differ)?

Hi All I cannot create a 'mailto' shortcut that works. It appears that the mailto protocol is missing, Windows Live Mail is set as my default mail client in WLM settings, but it doe's not appear in the default program list. Harvest moon a wonderful life special edition ps2 iso download.

The only thing that shows up with any connection with WLM is 'Windows Contacts' I have been reading articles about this problem, and one suggested that a registry tweak in the 'mailto' entry may repair the problem. Instrukciya k chasms ohsen. However there is no 'mailto' entry at the suggested location in the reg. In default programs / Set program access and computer defaults / custom, I can choose WLM as my default email program, but when I return to that setting again it has reverted to 'use current'. When I create a mailto shortcut it defaults it's association with Chrome, my default browser and carries a Chrome icon. I have re-installed WLM but that did nothing to resolve the problem.

Am running W7 Ultimate. If anyone can help, it will be most appreciated. Thankyou for your help.Abe.
